Always looking for new Sunday funday adventures like me? Check out Granite Face on Whitewash Trail in the 87111.

Don’t forget to bring your hat and sunscreen because there isn’t much shade. While there are non-climbing hikes, expect to get an uphill work-out if you wish to see the view and the stunning rock formations up-close and personal.

Early mornings and overcast summer days are the best times to go if you want to beat the Albuquerque heat. If you are a lady, it may be wise to go with someone you trust for protection as you are rather isolated once you start climbing. Not to mention, while there are arrows directing you along the trail, the terrain is pretty rugged especially the higher you climb.

Sharing is caring.
